The Egremont Bar & Restaurant

32 Brighton Rd, Worthing BN11 3ED, UK – 01903 600064

January 2018: Only found out about this place recently! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food menu has good variety but the prices are on par with a restaurant. I've had the cod and chips, which were okay, and the veggie burger so far. Recommended for its nice atmosphere and excellent gin menu. March 2018: Downgrading to 3 stars. The lunch specials aren't good value for money. This is especially true with the pasta. I had a vegetarian spaghetti dish with tomatoes and olives. Except there weren't any tomatoes or olives to be found. As I ordered quite late, about 10 minutes before the kitchen closed, I didn't bother raising it with staff. This dish, along with chips, cost £10.50. Speaking of staff, they're an interesting mix. The ones who served me before were polite and friendly. But today I interacted with new staff members. Their service and attitude left me not wanting to return. One staff member was particularly annoying with their loud, inane chatter. I understand that one needs to keep themselves entertained when there isn't much customer traffic. But this one was grating. Come in the evenings for gin but don't expect value for money. Or consistency with the staff.

Very good bar/restaurant staff, not too busy as no live music this Thursday evening. A couple of tables free to eat and room at the bar! French onion soup, whitebait, skinny fries and sweet potato chips all good, garlic bread very good. Food served within reasonable amount of time and cleared away quickly without being over fussy or waiter interrupting 😊. Would return again.

Miller & Carter Lancing

43 Manor Rd, Lancing BN15 0EU, UK – 01903 753210

Nice good, good selection of drinks. They have a Thursday night deal at the moment which is good. Drinks service is pretty slow so best order two otherwise excellent

We came on Friday for our sons birthday dinner. 7 adults. Food was very fab. What made the evening so good was our amazing waitress Kirsty. She was aware of all our needs and looked after all of us so well. Great job Kirsty. We will be back.

Siam Thai Cuisine

41 Brighton Rd, Worthing BN11 3EF, UK – 01903 215351

Amazing food, and great service. We had a large booking of 25 people and everyone food was hot, lovely, and served quickly. I was even given a stunning hand carved melon gift for my birthday from the chef, so very thoughtful! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone

My favourite restaurant. Staff are amazing, food is the best. Can’t wait to go again!

Prithi Raj

Nice atmosphere. Very friendly efficient staff. Excellent food. Reasonably priced. You can take your own alcohol there as they don't have a drinks license.

First take away from here as our usual closed down. Glad we chose Prithi Raj. Really well made food, spicy dishes not over spiced and korma not too sweet. Absolutely lovely. Will definitely be back soon!

Best Reviewed Italian Pasta and Pizza Restaurants

76 Brighton Rd, Worthing BN11 2EN, UK – 01903 218767

On a flying visit to Worthing, chose to eat here because it was near the b&b. Great, unassuming restaurant. Prawn Cocktail as it should be, tasty mains and gut-busting veg. Fine by me, a relief to not wince at any of the portions or taste. VFM. Stuffed and happy.

Lovely family run Italian restaurant. Very warm welcoming people, a well established business in Worthing, apparently 27 years! Your only there for that long and that's if your good. Delicious well priced food. Highly recommended.

Capri Italian Restaurant

North Rd, Lancing BN15 9AY, UK – 01903 756058

I had a great experience at Capri this evening! Much to my surprise they did gluten free pizza (I'm celiac). I had a seafood pizza in house and it was so delicious that I ordered another for takeaway. Thanks guys! 😊

Superb family run restaurant serving delicious food! Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Ideal for families, as children very welcome! Arrive a bit later for a more intimate meal! Fabulous!

ASK Italian

30-32 Warwick St, Worthing BN11 3DJ, UK – 01903 339449

Went here for a quick lunch. Delicious food with quick service. Lovely staff with a clean environment. Tasty!

Quite surprised at some decent pasta. Just took a bit too long to get some drinks... you know how it is. Snowflakes stressed at half a dozen tables and then almost jumping down your throat as you question why you have been waiting 15 mins for drinks... that was the male 'manager' (person apparently skilled at running a venue and having excellent interpersonal skills). Four stars as the food was good. One star knocked off for arsey Snowflakes who don't like baby boomers highlighting their inefficiencies that the parents should have told them about... But didn't!

Rocking Horse

3, The Broadway, Brighton Rd, Worthing BN11 3EG, UK – 07723 087370

Great coffee cocktails and at the weekends a fabulous place to people watch. Prices are reasonable, but even in the winter it can get extremely hot inside.

Amazing cocktails and friendly staff. Very cool place to unwind from the day.

Ten Cocktail Bar

10 High St, Worthing BN11 1NU, UK – 01903 238392

Nice bar and dance floor reasonably priced bar

Good place to go for dancing and drinking, DJs play chartsy music. Cool neon vibe in there, mostly young people. It no longer serves food, it's just a bar

Molotov Cocktail Bar

31 Chatsworth Rd, Worthing BN11 1LY, UK – 01903 609000

Great cocktail bar very friendly had a fantastic night there with my girls and the cocktails are well nice so many to choose from xx

It's okay, the atmosphere from the dećor is good, the candles are a nice touch. But unfortunately the floor is quiet sticky before peek hits which is a bit of an off put. Also the drinks are over-priced in my honest opinion. The staff are well manored and have good skills when mixing drinks. It wouldn't be my first go to when asked where I want to go for a night out. But it is a good place to kill some time till the other clubs open.

Lancing Chinese Restaurants

Forbidden Palace Chinese Restaurant

132 South St, Lancing BN15 8AU, UK – 01903 600060

Delicious!! 1st time that I have tried salt and pepper squid, which is now a firm favourite

New China Takeaway

93 South St, Lancing BN15 8AP, UK – 01903 762827

Nice food but very small portions compared to other Chinese take aways in lancing

The Singapore style fried rice noodle and house special fried rice is so good and they are very generous with their ingridents. Ie pork, chicken, prawn & vegetables. Their spare ribs are proper large juicy ribs. The staff are very friendly and they're happy to make your order without any or very little msg. 😋

Lancing Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurants

Perch on Lancing Beach

28 Brighton Rd, Lancing BN15 8RA, UK – 01903 520317

I was taken here for a birthday lunch in May, and I was not disappointed at all! The staff were very welcoming and friendly, we were seated quickly and although we did order quickly you don't feel rushed to do so here. The location itself is right on the beachfront with easy - and cheep £1.50 all day - parking. If you had limited physical ability I would consider this as an easy access area. The restaurant is very bright and cheerful, with lovely full glass views across the sea, we were near an open window so we could enjoy the fresh sea breeze too! The food itself was outstanding! You can have a proper meal, or snacks such as chips, cake, sandwiches etc. I have already decided to return several more times to try various dishes, despite the distance! The gumbo looks devine, although I ended up trying the crispy crab sandwich - which was a delight on the taste buds to be sure. I've been told the breakfast is definitely worth a try. Nobody in the restaurant during my visit seemed to have any complaints - and I can understand why. Their chefs should be proud!!! All the staff deserve high praise in all honesty, the bar, waiting, and kitchen staff certainly make this a wonderful place to visit and enjoy good food! I would recommend it to anybody...and I hope you're experience is as enjoyable as mine was if you choose to go.

Delicious food at a reasonable price. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The location and views are great. Perfect for a rest after a long windy walk or cycle on the seafront.

Palm Court Pavilion

Beach House Park, Lyndhurst Rd, Worthing BN11 2DB, UK – 01903 212011

Great venue for private party hire. We had a beautiful intimate wedding breakfast and evening reception. Amazing food and great personal service from Rachel & Seamus.

I love this cafe, whether it's for a cosy coffee in the winter or a lazy breakfast outside in the summer, it's perfect. Great service, lovely food (i highly recommend the steak burger), excellent setting and a nice ambience. Cakes are also very good. Very child friendly too!

Pomodoro Mozzarella Worthing

18B Warwick St, Worthing BN11 3DJ, UK – 01903 219955

I really enjoyed the pasta meal that they served up to me 10 out 10 very good Italian restaurant, in Worting well worth having an evening meal there, Michael calf

This is a good little restaurant. If you read more of my reviews - and you should, they're eminently brilliant - you will know I may be a bit sceptical. I won't call a restaurant "good" unless I really do mean what I say. So, what's good about it? The food is good, most importantly. The kitchen uses quality ingredients and prepares the food in a way I wish I could. I'm quite a capable cook myself, but this goes beyond my abilities. The cooks are a couple of old guys, Mama is stalking around the place, the waiter is helpful and friendly. They really do put in an effort to cook the food you want to eat. So changing items on the menu to suit your taste is no problem. In fact, the last time we went there, I ordered something off-menu and the waiter ran away to the butcher's because they were missing an ingredient. He apologised profusely about not being able to get hold of "the good stuff" but they really did do their very best, even if the result was a bit sub-standard. I didn't care, it was good enough. And they clearly put in the effort. You see, I rather eat at a place that tries hard, than at some fancy posh restaurant where waiters think they have peacock feathers sticking out of their behinds. We've been coming to Pomodoro & Mozzarella over about an eight-year period, during our holidays. So I can say the quality is consistent. And so are the dishes, the menu hasn't changed a lot over that time but there's the "specials" board inside if you want something new. Or tell the waiter what you'd like, I'm sure they'll fix it up for you. My kids and I usually have a Pizza or Calzone while my wife prefers pasta, especially the broccoli and shrimp Tagliatelle (?) she once had. She's still pressuring me into making that for six years now. My only gripe would be the rather small terrace outside but we always leave satisfied and happy. I will (and do) recommend this place to friends and I will most certainly come back here. My thanks to the staff for their fine food and service.

The Stanley Ale House

5 Queensway, Lancing BN15 9AY, UK – 01903 366820

Best pub in Lancing. Good beer selection. Nice atmosphere. Loses one star for closing at 10 on a Saturday night!

I only popped in for a swift half but it seemed a friendly local with a good ale selection plus the usual keg beers on tap. Borderline micropub/small straight pub but still ticks all the boxes.

The Britannia Harvester

98 Grinstead Ln, Lancing BN15 9DP, UK – 01903 750511

Good food, good friendly staff. Nice clean, tidy restaurant. Quick service on the drinks, and cooked food. Service yourself salad cart was also clean and tidy, no spillage around the base of the salad distribution bowels. "(As we have found in other Harvester restaurant's. Highly recommended.

A huge improvement on our last visit. An extensive menu with something for everyone. The children's food was exciting and looked delicious. Both children ate well. It also was served before our mains giving us a chance to settle them so we could enjoy our own meals. I had chicken and waffles and loved it. Boyf had Combo 83 and was impressed. The toilets are clean and well stocked. The hand dryers are excessively noise but I told my son that means they are magic. The best part of our visit was Emma. She is a genuine and attentive waitress and made our visit special. Will recommend and return.

The Longshore

Brighton Rd Brighton Rd, Shoreham-by-Sea BN43 5LD, UK – 01273 452365

Service can be slow as it gets so busy but staff always have a smile on their faces. Food varied and good quality for pub. Plenty of gluten and dairy free options. Bubbly on tap and playground inside and outside. Overall a great place to eat especially for young families.

Excellent service. Food wonderfully cooked and prepared. If we lived locally would eat there often.
